Xander Zayas 153.4 Vs. Patrick Teixeira 153.4 – Weigh-in Results For ESPN On Saturday Night

Undefeated junior middleweight contender Xander Zayas (18-0, 12 KOs) weighed in at 153.4 lbs, while his opponent Patrick Teixeira (34-4, 25 KOs) also came in at 153.4 pounds at Friday’s weigh-in for their ten-round headliner this Saturday, June 8th and live on ESPN at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Saturday’s main event starts at 11:00 p.m. ET/8:00 p.m. PT on  ESPN, ESPN Deportes & ESPN+.

Zayas is a fighter who is being groomed for world title honors, but he needs some step-up-level competition to get him better prepared to take on the killers in the division.

The 21-year-old Zayas, ranked #5 WBO, #7 WBC and #13 IBF, takes on the heavy-handed Teixeira. This fight will put the Top Rank-promoted Zayas in a better position to challenge for a world title. He’s not quite ready yet, but he will be soon.

You have to prepare for it differently every time. I know whoever they put in front of me next, I’m going to put on a show like we always do.
