Where To Find The Lifesteal Fish Ash Of War

Elden Ring offers an incredible amount of customization for players to create unique characters to match their playstyle. Weapons come with skills that often require FP to cast, which can be kept or replaced with ashes of war to change the skill to another of the player’s choosing.

Ashes of War can be infused on weapons to change the weapon’s affinity, affecting which stat it scales off of and the type of damage it deals. This can help players alter their favorite weapon to scale off the stat they want to focus on the most. Ashes of War also replace the weapon’s skill and can be incredibly powerful compared to many of the basic skills most weapons start with.

Where To Find Lifesteal Fist

Lifesteal fist can be found in the Caelid region, the eastern continent infested with the scarlet rot. Starting from the Smoldering Wall Site of Grace, get on the main road and follow it south. About halfway down the lake of rot, you’ll see another Site of Grace off to the left side of the road. Between you and the new site of grace will be a scarab that will run as soon as you approach it.

Kill the scarab quickly, as after it feels a certain distance, it will disappear, and you’ll need to reset the world by resting at a site of grace. Killing the scarab will give you the Lifesteal Fist Ash of War.

Using Lifesteal Fist

Heading back to the Roundtable Hold after giving the smith the black whetstone will allow you to infuse your new Ash of War on a fist weapon. This will give your fist weapon the skill Lifesteal Fist while also changing the weapon affinity to Occult, making it scale more from your Arcane stat and less from its previous scaling stats. This focus on Arcane scaling is very beneficial on one of the many fist weapons that cause a bleed build-up, as focusing on arcane will now benefit the weapons base damage and bleed damage.

Equipping this Ash Of War will change your weapons skill to Lifesteal Fist. This skill has a bit of a slower charge-up but offers a powerful punch that significantly restores your HP. The charge-up delay can leave you open for an attack that interrupts the skill, making it best when used on a stunned or unaware enemy. The health restored from this skill is a percentage of your maximum health, making it more effective the higher your Vigor. This skill is incredibly useful in the overworld while exploring, as it only works on humanoid-sized creatures. The Lands Between is full of enemies of that size, helping you keep your health up without immediately using all of your flask charges.
