After carrying a preseason ranking of No. 2 nationally entering the game, the Alabama Crimson Tide certainly showed why they had that lofty status prior to beginning the year Monday night, as the program defeated UNC Asheville by a final score of 110-54.
This was a game in which Alabama never trailed against the Bulldogs, and cruised during the second half where they led by 30+ points with about 10 minutes remaining.
Let’s take a look at what some are saying on social media about Alabama’s win over UNC Asheville:
This Alabama basketball team is deep and it is long. It improved some of the weaknesses from last year and its strengths. Should be an entertaining team to watch.
It leads UNC-Ashville 41-20 after 15 minutes, shooting 63% with a 22-10 rebounding edge.

Said all off season – they’re Noah’s Arc. They have two of everything.
Size. Shooting. Ball-handling. Rim protection.

I know it’s not the same UNC Asheville of the last few years, but beating them by more than 2x their score is still extremely impressive.
Alabama is going to be so fun this season.
