Fortnite Needs To Stop Trying To Protect Everyone’s Feelings
Hey, Epic, let us take the L with pride.
Epic Games began teasing the new season earlier this month, confirming a surprise collaboration with Fallout, whilst also teasing another mysterious collab that many believe to be Junker Queen from Overwatch. But as we inch closer and closer to Chapter 5 Season 3’s release, Epic Games is expected to pull back the curtain and reveal all in the coming days.
When Does Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Release?
Epic Games has confirmed that Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 will be released on Friday, May 24th. The new season will once again come with an extended period of server downtime, with servers being taken offline at 2AM ET / 7AM BST / 8AM CEST, according to the official Fortnite Creators X (formerly Twitter) account.
The exact length of the server downtime was not confirmed by Epic Games, and often varies from update to update. However, as this is the launch of a new season, downtime is expected to be longer than usual. Based on the release of previous season, we expect Fortnite servers to come back online at approximately 7AM ET /12PM BST / 1PM CEST.
During the server downtime, players will be prompted to download and install the new patch, which Epic says “will be larger than usual.” For further details on Fortnite’s official server status, check out the Epic Games website.
