Daniel Jones finally ended his 600-plus day streak without a passing touchdown in the first half of this game. However, at the end of the first half, he had zero passing yards.
Jones was able to recover from this in the second half as he finished with 174 passing yards and two touchdowns on a 77 percent completion percentage. However, this percentage was hindered by drops from the rookies — Malik Nabers and Theo Johnson. However, both players led the team in receiving as they recorded 59 and 51 yards, respectively.
Jones also was very effective in the ground game as he finished with 54 yards and a hard-fought rushing touchdown while averaging 7.7 yards per carry. The Giants as a team were very efficient rushing the football as they finished with 164 yards on the ground with 5.3 yards per tote.
With this in mind, the Giants still lost the football game and were far from a great team offensively. Pressure on the quarterback remains a problem even if it was less of one this week (two sacks).
Jones also continues to struggle taking care of the football as he had a very costly fumble after being crushed on the blind side in the first half that led to a Washington score.
