How To Find The Frenzied Burst Incantation In Elden Ring

Tarnished looking for a hard-hitting spell that can obliterate enemies from a long distance will love the Frenzied Burst Incantation. Much as the Bolt of Gransax is a sniper rifle for Dexterity builds and the formidable Loretta’s Bow is the equivalent for Intelligence users, Frenzied Burst is one of the best long range spells for Arcane users in Elden Ring.

To find this Incantation, players will, most appropriately, have to journey to the Frenzied Flame Village, and close to the church of Inhibition. They’ll need to be prepared for toil and an awful lot of obnoxious rats along the way, but a powerful mind-laser awaits them at the end of their quest. What Is The Frenzied Burst Incantation?

Frenzied Burst is an incantation that fires a long-ranged beam at your opponent. At full charge, it deals 23.5% more damage and pierces through enemies. Besides its fairly high damage, Frenzied Burst also inflicts Madness build up on opponents and a little Madness buildup on the user themselves.

Where To Find The Frenzied Burst Incantation

The Frenzied Burst Incantation can be found by defeating a Teardrop Scarab near the Frenzied Village in Eastern Liurnia. The closest Site of Grace to it is the Church of Inhibition.

If players are missing the Church of Inhibition Site of Grace, they can start at the Grand Lift of Dectus Site of Grace instead and head south. Just across the main road ahead will be a ramp. They can hop onto that ramp and follow its path northeastward. This path will eventually lead to a clearing overseen by a Tower of Madness. Getting across the treacherous Church of Inhibition area can be tricky.

Having done so, the Tarnished can head southward, and will soon find themselves in the Frenzied Flame Village. Taking a sharp right, they’ll find another ramp upward that leads southward and further up the mountain. Taking that ramp to the top, they’ll be in another clearing. If players haven’t fought Festering Fingerprint Vyke, he will appear in this general area. Moving directly to their southwest next, they can continue riding until they reach two groups of trees with space in between them. In the middle should be a Teardrop Scarab. Slay that scarab for the Frenzied Burst Incantation.

How To Use The Frenzied Burst Incantation

To increase this incantation’s damage, it’s recommended to equip these talismans:

• Faithful’s Canvas Talisman (increases damage by 4%)
• Flock’s Canvas Talisman (increases damage by 8%)
• Godfrey Icon Talisman (Increases damage at full charge by 15%)

After that, players will need to put in the 22 points of Faith necessary to use Frenzied Burst, and swap to buffing Arcane from that point onward. Arcane increases the rate status effects will build up from your spells, which is exactly what users want to focus on for this build.

Additionally, a heavier investment into Arcane will help to make the most out of the Dragon Communion Seal instead of the Frenzied Flame seal. While the Frenzied Flame seal will offer a 20% damage increase to Madness spells, its scaling is so poor that it’ll get outclassed by other seals fairly quickly. The Dragon Communion seal, in comparison, has better scaling and increases the build up of effects like Madness. With all of these pieces in place, fans should now be able to fully build up madness on your target in one shot.

Uses In PvP and PvE

In PvP, this incantation is best used whenever the target doesn’t notice the player. If invading a world, a fully charged Frenzied Burst on an unsuspecting host will finish the invasion in a heart beat. As long as the user lands one clean shot, the host will be inflicted with Madness. After that, they can land as many shots as it takes from that point onward to finish the host, since each one will trigger Madness, stunlocking them into place.

In PvE, Frenzied Burst can be used from Torrent against field bosses, so casters can enjoy all the mobility of riding on horseback with all the firepower of a tank-busting railgun. If users don’t mind a further Faith investment (and since they’re already getting Madness incantations), they could also combine the Frenzied Burst with the Howl of Shabriri incantation (+25%), Golden Vow incantation (+15%), and the Black Dumpling helmet (+10%) to get a 50% total increase to damage dealt. The Tarnished must just make sure to use Howl of Shabriri to trigger Madness on themselves first before walking through the boss door.
