Hassan Whiteside: “Pat Riley personally came out on the court and worked me out. It was the hardest workout of my life, still to this day. He had on a suit, hair slicked back, collar shirt. I’m in there, breathing like I’m about to black out before I stop this workout. It was not skill; it was just full court dunks. He was like, ‘Lick your hand and touch as high as you can on the backboard.’ I must’ve done at least 120-something dunks. Pat Riley knows talent. He wanted to see if he could break me, see how mentally tough I was.” -via YouTube / August 27, 2024
