Spectre Divide puts a spin on a genre that hasn’t been experimented with much. For the longest time, CS2 and VALORANT have majorly dominated the tactical shooter space.
But Spectre Divide, with its ingenious concept of duality and the use of Sponsors instead of heroes, might have a chance to make some space in this genre.
Sponsors are essentially abilities you can play with. Instead of using heroes with different kits, you can directly choose the kits you want to play with.
Of course, not all Sponsors are created equal. After all, Spectre Divide is a competitive multiplayer game, and there are always some Sponsors better than others from a competitive point of view.
8 Muu Robotics
A Knock-off Bloom Technologies

Muu Robotics is by far the worst sponsor in the game. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a viable option and can still be played, but it’s just a worse version of Bloom Technologies.
Essentially, the Muu robotics just fails to deliver any value to the team. Patches only heals in a set radius, Dazzler takes too long to flash enemies and the shield is serviceable at best. To put it simply, you could bring more value to the team just by opting for Bloom Technologies rather than this.
It’s fine to try it out in casual, but in Ranked mode, where team composition matters a lot, Muu Robotics just doesn’t fit the bill.
7 Vector Dynamics

Vector Dynamics, more or less, faces the same issue as Muu Robotics. That is, failure to provide significant value to your team with the abilities. Generally, the kit it offers is often situational and doesn’t usually deliver the results that other sponsors can.
For instance, Vector Wall might work in some aggressive pushes, but its effectiveness heavily depends on the map. Spectre Divide’s maps often feature large and open areas where the wall just doesn’t work quite well. This kind of goes with all three abilities of Vector Dynamics. They are good, but you have better options.
However, Vector Dynamics can be useful if you can come up with creative strategies and plays to confuse the enemy team.
6 Ghost Link Collective

Ghostlink Collective is a bit of an oddball when it comes to sponsors. It offers abilities that could win your rounds but need a lot of creativity to be successful. Plus, the kit generally requires a lot of learning, which is why it’s not the first pick of many players.
The main highlight ability of Ghostlink Collective is Dupe, which essentially allows you to create illusions and spread misinformation among the enemies.
You can clear out angles, fake site executions, and overall just spread havoc around the map. It’s actually quite a solid ability, but again, it needs a lot of creativity and can be situational.
Considering you only have the choice of three sponsors, you are better off going with something a bit more reliable. The only reason why I would suggest Ghostlink Collective is if you have a set strategy in mind beforehand.
5 Umbra Reconnaissance

In short, Umbra Reconnaissance is an aggressive information class. It has the same job as Ryker Industries of gathering information and clearing out areas, but allows for a more aggressive playstyle.
So, you can go for frags and act as a recon for your team. Umbra Reconnaissance allows for both passive and aggressive playstyles, which is the main reason some players prefer it over Ryker Industries.
The highlight ability is definitely the Pulsefinder, allowing you to scan through walls for enemies. Along with this, the Glare Marker can also prove to be useful as it allows you to flash through walls from a safe position. In short, it is a pretty solid kit, but it comes with a learning curve.
4 Pinnacle International

It’s an aggressive kit that allows you to take duels and has a big advantage in gunplay. Generally, your role with this sponsor is to take the first duel and open up areas for your team. The flash and grenade will help you in this and if you are hit you can quickly heal up.
3 Morrgen United

The key factor that makes Morrgen United an S-tier sponsor is the Smoke Shift. The ability to instantly teleport inside your smoke without enemies knowing can be extremely useful.
You can throw a smoke on the plant and go for a ninja defuse. Similarly, you can use the smoke to quickly enter sites and confuse enemies. There are a lot of plays that can be made just by using the smoke right.
On the other hand, both Meltdown and Hidden Grasps are solid abilities. Both are quite effective for holding flanks, taking up map control and playing post-plant.
All in all, Morrgen United brings a lot of value in terms of coordinated teamplay, which makes it a top-tier sponsor in Spectre Divide.

Overall, Bloom Technologies is a must-have for your team comp. Having it guarantees solid support, letting you and teammates focus on other roles.
Not to mention, with only three sponsor slots available per match, this choice simplifies strategy. Knowing your support is locked in frees up decision-making for the remaining picks.

In a first-person shooter, enemy info is vital, and Spectre Divide is no exception. And, when it comes to information gathering, there is no better sponsor than Ryker Industries. While Umbra Reconnaissance does the same job, Ryker simply does it better.
The recon dart or Wave Spike as named in the game, covers a wider area and relays more information compared to Umbra’s Recon Wing. Apart from this, you also have the Hull Mine, which, on its own, can be quite deadly.
All you need to do is place it near entry points, and watch enemies get brutally damaged as they try to force their way through.
You can make this even more deadly by placing a Swarm Grenade near it, slowing them if they come near it. Essentially, Ryker’s kit has the ability to lock down an entire site or part of the map, allowing the teammates to focus on other areas.
However, this does require a passive and patient playstyle, so if you like to go guns blazing into fights, Ryker might not be for you. To sum up, gather intel, set up plays and cover your flanks.
