Nothing quite captures the feeling of Dragon Ball like the sky turning pitch-black as an enormous wish-granting dragon is summoned from the Dragon Balls. Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero— like most Dragon Ball videogames—lets you experience this for yourself.
Provided, of course, you hunt down a matching set of seven Dragon Balls.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2: 10 Best Characters, Ranked
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 features a number of iconic characters from throughout the Dragon Ball franchise. This list celebrates the best.
Sparking! Zero features three sets of Dragon Balls to collect: one for Shenron, one for Porunga (from the Namek Saga), and one for Super Shenron (from Dragon Ball Super). But after gathering all seven balls, which option is the best wish?
Let’s take a look at everything the OG dragon offers in this ranked list of Shenron’s five wish options.
5 I Want New Outfits
Dress-Up Dragon Ball
Don’t want to unlock one of these outfits from the campaign or the game’s item shop? Shenron can unlock a new cosmetic for you with a wave of his tail.
Since these outfits are available elsewhere in the game, they aren’t that high a priority for using a wish. It’s easier to unlock them ordinarily. If there’s a particular costume you love from Dragon Ball’s past, then this wish might be worth it for you.
4 I Want More Titles
Let’s Show Off In PVP
Some of Sparking! Zero ‘s titles are unique rewards gained from wishing on the Dragon Balls. When you choose this wish, you’ll get to pick which new title you want from a drop-down menu.
Titles are a fun way to customize your character—and, in this case, show off that you’ve used the Dragon Balls enough to afford a little World Domination on the side. Unfortunately, titles don’t impact campaign or PVP gameplay, so they just aren’t a high priority.
Keep in mind, though, that some titles are exclusive to the wish-granting dragons. However, Porunga offers the same titles as Shenron, so getting all six isn’t too difficult for the completionists out there.

3 I Want More Zeni
I’m Sick Of Grinding For Cash
If you want to afford everything in Sparking! Zero’s item shop, you’re going to need a fair bit of Zeni. Grinding cash isn’t too tough, but like most Dragon Ball games playing the same fight repeatedly can grow tedious.
When emptying out the shop to clean out the game’s achievements, this wish is a reasonable option, provided you already have the Dragon Balls. Don’t try to collect them just for a Zeni boost—farming the cash is faster.
2 I Want You To Raise My Player Level
Let’s Get A Power Boost
Now we’re on to the good stuff! Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has a level cap of 20, but the XP required per level increases drastically after you reach Level 15.
Toward the end of the game, use Shenron to speed up your progress toward Level 20. The dragon doesn’t give you a single level, but instead a flat amount of XP. While the exact quantity isn’t clear, it’s enough for purchasers of the Deluxe or Ultimate editions to use their free Shenron wish to start the game around Level 4.
In addition to more power, reaching Level 20 fully unlocks other parts of the game (like items in the shop). Asking Shenron for levels is a good choice because it opens up more of the game’s content.
1 I Want To Complete An Episode Battle
Blow Away Difficult Sparking! Episodes
Dragon Orbs are a unique item in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero only available from Shenron, Porunga, or Super Shenron. Regardless of which dragon you receive one from, it has the same effect.
This option only appears if you’ve failed to complete an Episode, or complete an Episode’s side objectives. You can find it by scrolling left or right when Shenron gives you the usual four options.
Using a Dragon Orb before an episode makes achieving the Secondary Clear Conditions easier (which would have been helpful in Dragon Ball’s more difficult games…). However, the episode isn’t counted as a “victory”—meaning you won’t earn Zeni, unlock characters or cosmetics, or progress the story.
The upside? Completing bonus objectives unlocks new Sparking! episodes featuring “What-if?” scenarios from throughout the franchise.
Considering this is Sparking! Zero’s main draw for Dragon Ball veterans, that’s no small prize. If you’re having trouble unlocking a Sparking! episode, asking for a Dragon Orb is a great use of your wish from Shenron.
