- XunHe1145 is creating a Baldur’s Gate 3 mod for Stardew Valley called Baldur’s Village, complete with unique characters and romance options.
- Astarion, a character from Baldur’s Gate 3, will be the only romanceable character in Baldur’s Village.
Baldur’s Gate 3 fan artist XunHe1145 recently announced an ongoing mod project for Stardew Valley, Baldur’s Village.
XunHe and a “small team of amateurs” have already created a dedicated Baldur’s Village map, complete with four different styles of buildings. The team has also crafted hand-made pixel art of Shadowheart, Astarion and Gale, in a style reminiscent of Eric Barrone’s.
Currently, Astarion is the only character the team is planning to make romanceable. Now, romance in Stardew Valley is fairly straightforward, you just need to accumulate enough friendship points with one of the eligible villagers and let the romance blossom.

Baldur’s Gate 3: Where To Find Astarion’s Grave
Astarion Ancunin has a grave in Baldur’s Gate 3. Here’s how you can find it.
Anyone who has romanced Astarion in Baldur’s Gate 3 will know winning the heart of the vampiric hunk is not as easy a feat, especially for Tavs / Durges with respectable moral character. If you’re going about your business, trying to do some good on the Sword Coast then well… Astarion probably won’t approve.
The Pale Elf is a fan of some less-than-savoury prospects like child murder and needless slaughter. However, he does have a soft spot for the downtrodden and enslaved, which makes sense given his background as vampire spawn. If you’re talking instead of killing, Astarion isn’t going to like it.
I wonder if Astarion is going to bring this energy to Baldur’s Village — running an errand for Shadowheart? Astarion disapproves. Watering the carrots; Astarion isn’t going to like that. It’s going to be interesting to see how XunHe and his team are going to port Astarion’s personality to Stardew Valley, a game that offers little opportunity for skullduggery.
If it’s anything like romance in the base game, Astarion is going to be won over by kind words and a couple of thematically-appropriate gifts. He doesn’t have to know that I’m being nice to every party member in Baldur’s Village, that’ll be my little secret.
The team behind Baldur’s Village is hoping to have their first piece of playable content ready by the first anniversary of Baldur’s Gate 3, which falls on August 3, 2024.
