Arthur Vs. Cameron Live On Channel 5 And DAZN On June 21 In Bolton

In a night billed as ‘Return Of The King’, light heavyweight contender Lyndon Arthur (23-2) will return to home-soil after a failed crusade against WBA Super Light-Heavyweight champion Dmitrii Bivol (23-0) on the Day of Reckoning last December. The main card is set to get underway at 2:00 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. GMT with the main event ringwalks scheduled for 5:00 p.m. ET / 10:00 p.m. GMT , live on DAZN.

Having lost his IBO crown in that previous contest, the ‘King’ will be looking to rebuild, not retreat. And, having only lost to pound-for-pound talent Bivol and dangerous power-puncher Anthony Yarde (25-3), Arthur has plenty of opportunities to recover and reinstate himself amongst the crop of light heavyweight talent; a division that is brimming with British talent.

However, another northerner stands in the way of the Manchester native. Liam ‘Cannonball’ Cameron (23-5) will ask questions of the ageing Arthur. Having flown under the radar, Cameron was a successful amateur, having become the 2009 ABA Welterweight champion and winning three British national titles in the amateur circuit.

In the professional game, Cameron can attribute the IBO Youth Super Middleweight and Commonwealth Boxing Council Middleweight titles to his name. Certainly not as prestigious or decorated as Arthur, Cameron will bring it to the Arthurian fighter in an attempt to earn respect.

On a night full of warriors, Wasserman have more talent to offer the people of Bolton and those watching on Channel 5 in the United Kingdom and DAZN globally.

Surging Kazakh super featherweight Sultan Zaurbek (17-0) looks to continue his menacing streak against Argentinian veteran Roman Ruben Reynoso (22-4-2). A decorated amateur, one that beat popular British prospect Peter McGrail (9-1), Zaurbek will be looking to break out as he inches closer to the higher levels of the division.

Having previously claimed the WBC Youth World Super Featherweight and WBO European Super Featherweight belts early on in his career, Zaurbek will be seeking to cut through ‘220 Voltios’ on his way to higher honours. Although, with the opportunity to make a statement on terrestrial television, Zaurbek will position himself well.

One division below, young 19-year-old prospect Tom Welland (4-0), one of Wasserman’s adolescent hopes, will make his return. The Essex featherweight last made an appearance on the card in which Charlie Edwards (19-1) made his comeback against Georges Ory (18-4-1), gaining the eyes of the world as he beat Marvin Solano (24-16) at York Hall.

This time out, Welland will be chasing the knock-out against Alejandro Farias (3-2), an Argentinian with a mixed record; including two no-contests caused by clashes of the head. Early in his career, Welland will have to navigate the malicious tactics of the b-side.

With these bouts, as well as the Baraou-McGowan card produced the week prior, Wasserman are making strides to bring decent contests to terrestrial television.
