Angel Reese becomes first WNBA player with back-to-back 20 rebound games

Angel Reese‘s dominance on the boards has continued during the back half of her rookie campaign, and the Chicago Sky star set another record on Friday.

With a 13-point, 20-rebound performance in a loss to the Connecticut Sun, Reese also became just the seventh WNBA player with multiple 20-rebound games and the fourth with two in the same season.

Reese set the WNBA record for consecutive double-doubles earlier this season with 15, and she now has 21 double-doubles in 28 career games. That puts her just two away from tying what is the Sky and WNBA rookie single-season record.

She’s also the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 20 double-doubles in a season.

Reese is averaging a mark of 12.6 rebounds per game, a mark that would be the best in a single season in WNBA history. She’s also on pace to set single-season records for total rebounds and offensive rebounds.
