Anthony Rizzo option declined by Yankees
The Yankees declined their 2025 club option for first baseman Anthony Rizzo, making the veteran a free agent, the team announced Saturday.
Rizzo played fewer than 100 games in each of the past two seasons due to injuries. In 2024, Rizzo batted .228 with 8 homers and 35 RBIs in 92 games.
