Bobby Manning: Brown: “Actions speak loud. It is what it is, we got the win, we move on, but there’s no place in the game for that. I thought JT and Grant were friends. I guess not.”

After 4 games the Charlotte Hornets have 7 players shooting over 39% from three
LaMelo Ball 39.6%
Tre Mann 42.9%
Cody Martin 42.1%
Grant Williams 47.4%
Seth Curry 50%
Josh Green 57.1%
Brandon Miller 50% (1 game)
I’m not checking, but you have to imagine that leads the league. pic.x.com/xX3YhsebqJ – 7:36 AM

New: “I just wanted him to know we were here and I was here, if he ever needed me or needed Harvard.”
8 years ago Jaylen Brown didn’t know anyone in Boston, so Harvard coach Tommy Amaker invited him into a community that remains a big part of his life.

Last season the Celtics often counted on Jaylen Brown to give them an early jolt. He averaged 7.2 points per game in the first quarter, ranking seventh in the NBA among players who appeared in at least 60 games. This season is just three games old, and the Celtics are navigating some absences, but so far there has been a mild shift in Brown’s role, and he said it is requiring some adjustments. His first-quarter minutes have dipped from 9.6 a year ago to 7.2, and he has more frequently been tasked with guiding the second unit. -via Boston Globe / October 29, 2024
