Michigan State basketball will be making a decision soon to determine if freshman forward Jesse McCulloch will be redshirted this year.
Spartans head coach Tom Izzo met with the media on Friday and touched on the upcoming decision for McCulloch. Izzo said he will meet with McCulloch on Saturday and make the final call from there.
After practice tonight, Tom Izzo said Gehrig Normand is at least a week away from being game-ready. Today was his first practice back. Also said MSU will meet with freshman Jesse McCulloch tomorrow and make a final call on a redshirt.

McCulloch was a three-star prospect in the 2024 class, and ranked as the No. 143 overall prospect in the class. He is from Cleveland, Ohio and chose Michigan State over offers from Alabama, Indiana, Michigan, Iowa, Ohio State, Wisconsin and Xavier.
Michigan State opens the 2024-25 season on Monday in a home non-conference game against Monmouth. Tipoff from the Breslin Center is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
