It hasn’t been the season Mike Norvell anticipated at Florida State. One season after winning the ACC and being a team that should have made the College Football Playoff, the Seminoles are 1-7 and have lost four straight.
They also have the nation’s second-to-worst offense, averaging just 14.9 points per game.
Much of that has been the involvement of young quarterbacks in the FSU offense. DJ Uiagalelei was a failure of a transfer, but he also broke a finger on his throwing hand.
Redshirt freshman Brock Glenn and true freshman Luke Kromenhoek have gotten some run in Uiagalelei’s stead, but the results haven’t been great.
Glenn has completed just 45.1% of his passes for 392 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions. Kromenhoek has completed just 9-of-21 passes for 80 yards in his appearances against Duke and No. 6 Miami. He did rip off a nice 42-yard run on a 4th-and-1 that should have been stuffed, though, so he does have some juice with his legs.
