Shohei Ohtani appeared to hurt himself on a stolen-base attempt in the bottom of the seventh inning in Game 2 of the World Series at Dodger Stadium on Saturday.
After drawing a walk against Yankees reliever Clay Holmes, Ohtani took off for second base and appeared to overrun the bag as he reached awkwardly with his left arm. He could be heard on the FOX broadcast telling the Dodgers training staff in Japanese it’s his left shoulder.
The severity of the injury has not yet been announced.
