Bridget Carleton represented Iowa State women’s basketball well on Friday night.
With the Minnesota Lynx needing a win to stay alive in the 2024 WNBA Finals, the former Cyclone notched multiple clutch plays in the fourth quarter to beat the New York Liberty — including the game-winning free throws.
Carleton finished the game with 12 points, four rebounds and one steal with a pair of triples.
Her final rebound came with two seconds remaining and the game tied, 80-80, when she snagged an offensive board and got fouled before eventually making the deciding free throws.
Carleton also made a clutch 3-pointer with 3:14 remaining in the game to give her team a 77-72 advantage.
She has scored a combined 26 points in the last two games and continues to be a key starter for the Lynx.
The winner-take-all Game 5 will be played on Sunday at 7 p.m. It will be broadcast on ESPN.
