It was a very nice night for Michigan State basketball on Thursday as the Spartans landed a major commitment from a big-time prospect from the east coast.
On Thursday night, 4-star wing Jordan Scott announced his commitment to MSU. Notably, the Spartans beat out Big Ten rival Maryland for Scott’s commitment, along with Kansas State and Virginia.

Scott (6-foot-7, 185 pounds) is MSU’s first commit of the 2025 recruiting class.

Scott is the No. 52 ranked player in the country by 247sports and their No. 11 ranked small forward
