Jake Paul is getting sued over claims of alleged bribery — and the court just tossed his motion to dismiss

Jake Paul is getting sued for defamation following his claim that Matchroom Boxing, helmed by longtime promoter Eddie Hearn, bribed judge Glenn Feldman to return favorable scorecards in the marquee matchup between Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor, as well as the heavyweight showdown pitting Anthony Joshua against Oleksandr Usyk.

Both Serrano and Joshua went down on points.

Not surprisingly, Hearn and Co. were offended by the “defamatory lies” and demanded “El Gallo” issue a public retraction. That request was ignored and Matchroom subsequently filed suit against the social media star, seeking damages in excess of $100 million. In addition to the financial penalty, Hearn aims to restore the “goodwill attached to the Matchroom business.”

Chris Eubanks Jr. may have something to say about Hearn’s idea of goodwill.

Judge Paul Gardephe from the U.S. District Court ruled against Paul’s motion to dismiss, according to MMA Fighting, and attorneys for both parties are scheduled to appear for a pre-trial conference on Weds., Oct. 16, 2024 in New York. The 27 year-old Paul is not expected to be in attendance and appears unfazed by the “stupid” lawsuit.

Feldman joined the Paul lawsuit as co-plaintiff in Oct. 2022.

Paul is currently in camp to prepare for his Mike Tyson boxing spectacle, scheduled for Fri., Nov. 15, 2024 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The Netflix-streamed fight card (see it here) will also feature the super lightweight title fight rematch between Taylor and Serrano, as well as the influencer battle pitting Neeraj Goyat against Whindersson Nunes.

Feldman is unlikely to be in attendance, as a judge or otherwise.
