Following their largely successful event at the Las Vegas Sphere, Dana White and the UFC are delving into the idea of returning to the venue in a unique way.
UFC 306 at the Sphere was an incredible, one-of-one event that has set the tone for what the future could hold for all sports.
There has been a lot of positive feedback among fans and respectable names in the business since watching the show on September 14. Many want the UFC to return to the beloved arena, and while it’s uncertain if it will ever host another fight card, Dana White has revealed some exciting news regarding the show.
According to White, the promotion will look to host reruns of UFC 306 for those who didn’t get to witness the unforgettable night at the Sphere from start to finish.
“It’s almost a shame that you’re only going to get to see this once,” White said about the historic event.
“That’s why I keep saying, if everything goes well and we’re happy with it at the end, I think we reformat this thing, and you can go and watch it again at the Sphere.”

Before revealing the exciting news, White claimed that if it wasn’t for Tom Brady, the Sphere show may never have happened.
“When I was at the Sphere watching the U2 show,” White stated. “I’ve said this one hundred times but you realize the Sphere is the star of the show…”
“If Tom Brady doesn’t call me and ask me to go to U2, I would have not gone to the Sphere yet… The Eagle’s are coming after us. I will be at The Eagle’s. I will be at that concert.”
“I wouldn’t have gone to this event. And then the whole thing that happened with MGM. It’s like this was meant to happen.”

How will the UFC manage to show reruns at the Sphere?
With the idea of UFC showcasing reruns of their show at the Sphere circling, it raises the question: How exactly will it work?
Taking inspiration from a recent U2 concert originally performed at the Sphere, U2/UV, fans will be able to witness the UFC 306 event unfold in front of their eyes as if it was happening for the very first time.
The Sphere was able to pull off, with their unique technology, an authentic feeling concert experience at U2/UV despite the band not actually performing live— instead using an incredible, life-like 3D rerun of their previous gig at the Sphere.
Thus, setting the blueprint for a possible set of dates at the Sphere for UFC fans who missed the live event to get a chance to experience the $20M+ investment in UFC’s historical event.
