Chama time?! Fans erupt after Dana White calls Alex Pereira during UFC 304 fight week

Dana White just called Alex Pereira.

It must be pretty important for the promotion CEO to be dialing the reigning light heavyweight champion during UFC 304 fight week, especially considering “Poatan” is not competing on Sat. night (July 27, 2024) at Co-op Live in Manchester, England.

In fact, Pereira — who’s already fought twice this year on short notice — was expected to remain on the sidelines for the next several months. Let’s hope nothing happened to the UFC 305 fight card in Perth, where Israel Adesanya challenges Dricus Du Plessis for the 185-pound strap.

“Call or not to call,” Pereira wrote on Instagram.

The Brazilian captured the 205-pound title by stopping Jiri Prochazka at UFC 295 last November in New York, then defended the strap with a knockout victory over Jamahal Hill at UFC 300. Prochazka tried to reclaim the crown at UFC 303 in Las Vegas and once again, was put out to pasture by “Poatan.”
