No more McGregor! Check out the fully revamped UFC 303: Pereira vs. Prochazka 2 fight card

Conor McGregor may be injured, but International Fight Week still must go on.

Because of the “Notorious” injury, McGregor vs. Michael Chandler is expected to happen at a later date. In the interim, Light Heavyweight champion Alex Pereira is stepping up on extremely short-notice to defend his crown versus former kingpin Jiri Prochazka. The two fought in November 2023, and Pereira stopped “BJP” in a mildly controversial (but very violent) knockout.

To help fill the gap left by McGregor’s absence, UFC also announced a new co-main event: Diego Lopes vs. Brian Ortega. Lopes has quickly proven himself one of the most exciting prospects on the roster, winning three straight fights via first-round finish to prove his contender status. Meanwhile, former title contender Ortega returned to the win column with an electric win over Yair Rodriguez back in February.

That’s guaranteed Featherweight fireworks.

Finally, the original UFC 303 co-main event between Jamahal Hill and Carlos Ulberg is off due to an injury to Hill. Longtime contender Anthony Smith will replace Hill, serving as a worthy step up in competition for the rising knockout artist.
