Star Wars is showing no signs of slowing down as the world’s biggest science-fiction franchise. With a new Creative Assembly Total Wars Star Wars game in the works and popular TPS Helldivers 2 recently adding a Clone Wars mod to gameplay, everyone’s favorite space opera is reigning supreme.
Despite receiving its own wave of LEGO videogames, the George Lucus-created IP has also crossed into LEGO Fortnite. Reimagining popular franchises in brick form is an ongoing trend, and Silent Hill 2 was recently shown the same treatment. However, one custom builder has gone the extra mile to replicate a Rebel base within the open-world survival game.

This Custom Rebel Cave Base Is A Hidden Paradise
YouTuber Haskyns is well-known in the community for building impressive structures within LEGO Fortnite, including Hyrule Castle, a Fallout shelter, and many more wonders from the real world. Several of these endeavors are ongoing series, including the project bringing a scenic Star Wars Rebel base to life.
Declaring this will be a multi-part series, Haskyns debuted the Rebel cave base back at the beginning of May, naming the custom project: “Star Wars Rebel Mos Eisley Cave”. The first episode confirmed the picturesque base nestled inside a cave behind a flowing waterfall, which is a fitting location to conceal the Rebel Alliance. Grand white buildings were detailed with the Rebel insignia and intricate details matching the Star Wars architecture.
Episode 2 saw an X-wing Research Lab being added to the base, and a replica of the starfighter was also included within the lab built in collaboration with The Mad Puck 66. This particular build took around 6 hours to construct and an additional 2 hours to position in its resting place.
Episode 3 is already in demand and fans are gawking over the “impressive” creation, saying it is the “most beautiful Star Wars build anywhere…the attention to detail is incredible”. One follower hoped LEGO Fortnite would allow creators to move villages into caves, which would make the Rebel base feel more “alive” with two or three villagers moseying around. Haskyns also thought this was a sound idea, and confirmed there were around 6 Rebel NPCs that were walking around the Phase 1 build already.
