How do you move on from grief? You don’t — you just learn to live with it.
Highlights
- Hellblade 2 continues Senua’s story, tackling unresolved trauma from her past with a clearer premise this time around.
- Senua still struggles with grief and trauma related to Dillion and her mother, exacerbated by her psychosis.
- The highly anticipated sequel, set in Iceland, will be launching on Game Pass for PC and Xbox Series X/S, continuing Senua’s journey.
Senua finally returns for the next chapter of her story in the long-awaited, AAA arthouse title, Hellblade 2. Though the premise of the story this time around is much clearer, there’s still one big problem Senua still needs to confront: she still has trauma left to work through regarding both Dillion and her mother. And her psychosis isn’t helping soothe her grief.
In this special episode of Save Room, I go over Senua’s history of grief from Senua’s Sacrifice and give a spoiler-free analysis on how Ninja Theory sets up Senua to tackle unresolved trauma in Hellblade 2.
