- Dragon’s Dogma 2 patch update brings bug fixes and lowers dragonsplague infection frequency.
- Update also reduces price for changing pawn inclination to 750 RC, but Art of Metamorphosis still cheaper at 500 RC.
A new patch update for Dragon’s Dogma 2 was deployed for all supported platforms yesterday, bringing new bug fixes, improvements, and even a reduced infection frequency of the dreaded dragonsplague. But what wasn’t mentioned in the patch notes was the reduced price to change your pawn’s inclination.
For those who might be unaware, a pawn’s inclination determines how they act during battle. While it might not be too much of a concern in the early stages of Dragon’s Dogma 2, picking the correct inclination (and matching it with your pawn’s vocation) is vital as battles become more intense in mid-to-late game engagements.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Best Settings For Steam Deck
DD2 can be played on the Steam Deck. Here are the settings that you will need.
So, while you might not be paying too much attention to what your pawn’s inclination is, you’ll more than likely end up wanting to change it over the course of your playthrough. This means you can do one of two things; the first is to use a Rift Incense, which can be purchased from the Vernworth Pawn Guild or found randomly throughout the world. The second way is to use the Art of Metamorphosis, which, similar to the Rift Incense, can be purchased from the Vernworth Pawn Guild or found randomly throughout the world.
Dragon’s Dogma 2’s Rift Incenses Are Still Pointless
While the full patch notes detailed most of the bug fixes and changes made in yesterday’s update, it failed to mention the reduced price of Rift Incenses. Probably because players are still going to use the Art of Metamorphosis instead.
The change was spotted by Reddit user Mariposura, who posted an image of the change saying, “The price to change your main pawn’s inclination reduced from 2,000 RC to 750.” But fellow players were quick to point out that there’s still no real reason to purchase them.
While the price reduction is rather hefty, it still doesn’t match the price of Art of Metamorphosis, which only costs 500 RC. “I mean, it still doesn’t make sense when you can change inclination with Art of Metamorphosis,” Reddit user morphum pointed out. Another user responded by saying, “It made sense when there was a limit to how many books you could buy. Not that it was a good idea to have only 2 books, but still.”
Others pointed out that using a Rift Incense to change your pawn’s inclination will also change their voice, something the community isn’t happy about.
