The Gonzaga walk-on has officially entered the transfer portal. Brooks appeared in only 22 games the past two seasons while averaging 1.6 PPG and 1.1 RPG in 2.9 MPG. He has been in Spokane with the Zags since 2020.
The 6’7” forward is the first Zag to put his name into the portal. It’s still very early but if a walk-on ends up being the only player to leave the program, next season’s roster is going to be filled to the brim with returning talent including the additions of Michael Ajayi and a healthy Steele Venters.
He will be looking for a new home as a grad transfer. Brooks can make some serious contributions at the D-1 level. Any second unit in the West Coast Conference would be happy to have him. He is a Los Angeles native, could Loyola Marymount come calling?
