Being the cash cow that it is, EA is forever trying to revamp and improve FC25‘s golden goose Ultimate Team. Over the years, they have done this with SBCs, Rivals, FUT champions, and much more. But one of the modern changes that has kept the football fan base coming back for more is Evolutions, a gimmick that allows you to improve your existing players through hard work.

EA Sports FC 25 Review
If you love the beautiful game and need an excuse to ditch that worn copy of eFootball PES 2021, this is it.
You can turn an otherwise ten-a-penny card into a staggeringly powerful asset when trying to form the team of your dreams. However, not all evolutions are made equal, and some are more worthwhile than others. So, to show you which players are worth nurturing, here are some of the best players in EA Sports FC25 with unlocked potential that you can realize.
10 Nickolas Jackson
No Cole Palmer, But Pretty Good
We kick things off with a player who was very hot and cold last season for Chelsea as he found his feet in the Premier League, but this season, he already looks like the real deal leading the line for the Blues.
So, there is all the more reason to invest some time and effort in his evolution, which turns his bang-average regular card into one that combines pace and finishing, which is exactly what you want from a striker.
His upgraded card raises his overall stat from a 78 to an 82, which is a decent jump, but it’s all about the improved finishing here, as this makes Jackson much more reliable in front of goal.
Sure, he’s still no Cole Palmer, but every Batman needs their Robin, right?
9 Joe Gomez
Faster Than Van Der Ven
Joe Gomez is England’s forgotten man at the back. Despite solid performances for Liverpool and a defensive shortage when the Euros rolled around, he couldn’t get a game.
But that shouldn’t color your opinion when you build your squad, as Joe is a dependable center-half, and with some time spent nurturing his evolution card, he becomes a real Royals Royce at the back.
Every stat gets bumped up on his card, but the most eye-catching of all is the 89 pace stat you can potentially achieve here, making them a faster center back than Mikey Van Der Ven, and he’s no slouch.
If you want to spend time on a defensive Evo, this is hands down the best choice.
8 Leon Bailey
Burst Past Full Backs With Ease
When Leon Bailey was applying his trade in Germany, he was a player who offered moments but failed to offer consistent performances.
This all changed when he signed for Emery’s Villa, and he has been on fire ever since, serving as a pace merchant with end product.
His standard card in FUT doesn’t necessarily reflect that, but if you work to get his Evo card, you’ll see his true potential.
Bailey maintains his 90 pace, but with the added caveat of improved shooting, passing, defending and physicality. Basically, it makes him a much more complete winger, with the ability to convert more chances.
He always had the ability to run in behind and get those chances, but now, you can count on him when he’s one-on-one.
7 Dominic Szoboszlai
Having had a solid season in a very strong Liverpool side last season, only getting an 81 rating seemed a little harsh on Szoboszlai. Especially considering their range of passing and their ability to rifle shots from range.
Well, if you agree with that general sentiment and would like to have access to a more generous Szoboszlai card, then you need to check out their Evo.
This gives Sbozablai a solid 83 rating, and improvement in every single stat shown on his card, offering reasonable pace, great passing, and wonderful shooting.
The obvious Evo alternative here would be the likes of Joelinton or Koby Mainoo. But for me, the Hungarian is slightly better, making them well worth investing in.
6 Darwin Nunez
Help Him Lace Up His Shooting Boots
Keeping with all things Liverpool, we have another striker who is incredibly hot and cold, but no matter what he does, you can count on one thing. He’s bound to do something that is absolutely box office.
Darwin Nunez’s real-world and in-game issue is finishing, as he has everything else going for him, and with an Evo upgrade, you can finally help him lace up his shooting boot and score some goals.
He still has blistering pace, but now also has increases in all displayed stats, including a huge bump in shooting, making them more than capable of hitting a barn door.
I don’t know if Nunez will ever be the Uruguayan replacement for Luis Suarez at Liverpool, but if you do his Evo, he could be a pretty good imitation for your FUT club.
5 Ademola Lookman
Atalanta’s Main Man
Next, we have a man who put in a performance in one game so good that he managed to get a perfect ten from L’Équipe and get himself on the Balon D’or shortlist. Not bad for one night’s work.Alemola Lookman has came on leaps and bounds since his stint at Fulham, and has been a big part of Atalanta’s recent success. However, his standard FUT card does little to showcase that.
That is why you need to take the time to beef him up by doing his Evo. This gives you a striker with reasonable pace, phenomenal shooting, and excellent physical skills, making them versatile forwards and a real nightmare for defenders.I may never be able to disassociate him from that embarrassing paneka penalty against West Ham, but every goal he knocks in when playing FUT certainly helps.

4 Ryan Gravenberch
The New Star Of Liverpool’s Engine Room
It took Ryan Gravenbirch a while to settle at Liverpool, but under Arne Slot, he is enjoying a real purple patch, picking up Player of the Match awards left, right, and center.
This may be somewhat of a contributing factor behind so many players taking it upon themselves to work on their Evo card, but it’s not just real-world performances that warrant this, as the stats speak for themselves.

Sometimes it’s about the gameplay, sometimes it’s about the visuals, but it’s always about the quality, so let’s check out some games double-A games t
Gravenberch’s Evo is the perfect all-rounder in midfield. He’s strong, brilliant going forward and playing off the ball, has the ability to pop up with a goal, and has just enough pace that the phase of play never leaves him behind.
It’s a wonderful card to have in your possession, so give Gravenberch the glow-up he deserves.
3 Gabriel Jesus
Brazilian Flair In Abundance
As an Arsenal fan, I’ve somewhat lost patience with Gabby Jesus in real life and accepted that he’ll never be a reliable goal machine.
But, in terms of FC25, I just can’t get enough of the silky Brazilian. Gabby’s Evo card is a work of art, offering improved pace, shooting, passing and physicality. While maintaining his trademark dribbling skills.
Gabriel Jesus is famous for his ability to dance around defenders in a tight space, and this card couldn’t be a bigger tribute to that.
If Arsenal ends up selling him in January, I honestly wouldn’t be all that upset in truth. But if you try to take my FC25 Jesus from me, well, then you’re in for a fight.
2 Iñaki Williams
Blistering Pace, With Skills To Back It Up
Iñaki Williams has a reputation for being one of the most important players at Athletic Bilbao. This is because he never misses a game, he’s rapid, he’s skillful as they come, and he’s never had his head turned and remained loyal to the Basque-only football club.
He’s what you call a one-club man, but you can lure him over to your club in FUT and give him a decent Evo upgrade when you do. Williams comes pretty much maxed out on pace as far as non-TOTW cards are concerned.
Still, with this Evo card, you also get upgrades to most of their base stats, with a huge bump to their shooting ability, meaning that you’ll be able to burn defenders, leaving them in your wake, and then you’ll have the tools to put the chance away. What’s not to love?
1 Romeo Lavia
An Eye-Catching Upgrade
Lastly, we have a surprise favorite here, but this card isn’t getting talked about enough because it’s borderline broken and gives one of the biggest glow-ups of any Evo card currently on the roster.
Romeo Lavia hasn’t done much to warrant a huge stat increase in Chelsea colors, but if you do take the time to build their Evo, you’ll get a bump from 75 to a staggering 84.
This upgrade essentially turns them into the midfield general that Chelsea wishes they were in reality. He offers a brilliant all-rounder package, as he can pass, shoot, defend, and dictate the play with ease.
It’s a card that many may overlook due to the player it’s aligned with, but I assure you, even if Lavia isn’t pulling up trees in real life, he’ll do the business in FC25, we promise.
