After exchanging words back-and-forth for several months, it now looks like a fight between Paddy Pimblett and Renato Moicano can now come to fruition.
The ranked lightweights are both on impressive win streaks, getting their hand raised in each of their last six fights under the UFC banner. But, one of those winning runs will come to an end if they meet inside the octagon next.
Following his impressive doctor stoppage victory over Benoit Saint Denis at UFC Paris, Renato Moicano took the opportunity to call out Paddy Pimblett.
“Thank you so much, France. Paris is f***ing beautiful,” Moicano said after beating Saint Denis. “And next, I want easy money.”
“Paddy Pimblett, easy money. Dan Hooker, easy money. Don’t come up with bullsh*t fights. Don’t come up with guys that are tough, I want easy fights.”
“I just beat a hell of an athlete. Everybody was talking about Benoit Saint Denis. But, guess what. ‘Money’ Moicano is the man tonight.”
This isn’t the first time Moicano has mentioned a fight with Pimblett, and there’s arguably no better time to match up the two surging 155ers.

‘The Baddy’ caught wind of the callout and was quick to respond on social media.
A win for either man could see them force their way into the top 10, edging closer to a potential date with the lightweight champion.
Though the feud continues to escalate, Renato Moicano recently shared some kind words for the Brit.
Moicano stated that, while he still considers Pimblett an easy fight, 29-year-old earned his respect with his latest performance.
The scouser put on an all-time display when he collided with fan-favorite Bobby Green at UFC 304 in Manchester, England.
Paddy Pimblett managed to simultaneously choke Green to sleep and snap his arm, all on route to what is being considered the best performance of his career.
